Fit 7 doors, door furniture and thumb locks

Fit Howdens fire doors to historic linings and install new door handles and thuimb locks.

Works
On inspection every door lining was pretty much lop sided with varying tolerances so doors trimmed to ofit accordingly. As Duncan will say we reached “Rolls Royce” fitting standards with air tight clsoing – Carpenter stoke right there.

Comments

It takes time to fit doors especially to historic door liners, it is a real process and testing to get perfect.

Here is an insight to the process poer door x 7
Measure frame and measure again.
Trim base of door to fit liner height
Mark door for plaining
Plain door side numerous times for that perfect fit.
Route new hinges to door liner and door perfectly.
Fit hinges and marry up / fit to door liner.
Fit door handle and latch, marry latch to door keep, same again for thumb locks.

Now do that 6 more times – Carpenter stoked but slight re arranged by 7 doors later :0))
